About Us - Overview
Teaching Children to Swim in and around North Somerset, Bristol and Somerset. We are a privately run group of ASA qualified swimming teachers who have developed a unique way of teaching children to swim while having lots of fun! We are all about families making every effort to link sibling lessons, adjust lessons to match with other activities, encouraging lessons missed to be made up and with a family price too.
We cater for learn-to-swim as well as progression through to club level in a number of pools in North Somerset. Our swimmers are aged 3 to 18 and we continue training and aquatic skills for older children who love to swim but do not wish to commit to a competitive club. We are especially good with children who are nervous of the water, with preparation for school swimming and at teaching groups of children in their teens. Our lessons are held after school and at weekends. We have a specially tailored pre-school programme during daytime hours that commences one year before a child starts school. |
What We TeachOur progressive swimming courses cover stroke development, starts and turns and all related water skills, personal survival and life saving. We encourage distance and stamina when a swimmer's stroke is ready. As well as our regular lane swimming programme, we introduce older children to a diverse variety of water activities such as underwater hockey, water polo, synchronised swimming and triathlon. Even our smallest pool has a deep end so we can start diving at an early age and swimmers in our Sidcot programme are given an opportunity to use the diving board.

A Fun-Way to Teach Younger ChildrenOur lessons for younger children are "themed".
Swimmers will "build snowmen", "make cakes", "build lego", "visit the zoo" and even "go on safari" all in the water. A different activity each week of the year! |
